Western U.S. Sales Director


  • The Sales Director is responsible for the sales of  Xplore rugged tablets, docking  and vehicle mounting solutions direct to end-user customers as well as through channel partners

  • The Sales Director will be accountable for managing forecasts, win/loss reviews and strategic planning for their assigned territory (Which may be a specific territory, vertical or mix of the two)

  • Will manage and support channel partners selling Xplore products and services in the US market.

  • The Sales Director will also be responsible for working with Marketing to establish collaborative lead generation programs with Partners for specific verticals and/or territories

  • Will create and conduct effective proposal presentations and RFP responses that address customer needs and positions Xplore as the Tablet of Choice

  • Responsible for sourcing and developing client relationships and referrals.

  • Responsible for lead development in territory (In addition to corporate lead generation programs)

  • Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned territory, within to maximize territory potential.


Experience  & Qualifications:

  • Experience selling direct and through channel partners, i.e., System Integrators, OEMs, etc.

  • Previous experience in the selling of rugged personal computers in a mobile wireless market to partners and subcontractors.

  • 5 plus years' sales experience exceeding quota/budget in the US market.

  • Consistent track record finishing in the top 10% in sales.

  • Thorough understanding of solution and value-based selling methods.

  • Excellent knowledge of the subcontractors market for rugged personal computers.

  • Proven experience in new name account acquisitions.

  • Experience in selling and supporting multiple seven figure projects.

Executive Assistant

Performs administrative duties for executive management. Responsibilities may include screening calls, making travel and meeting arrangements, preparing reports and financial data, training and supervising other support staff, and customer relations. Requires strong computer and internet research skills. Also calls for flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.

Europe Sales/Service Field Engineer

Location:  Europe

The Sales/Sales Engineer will effectively provide product consulting and technical design, engineering and implementation support to maximize revenue, earnings and customer satisfaction.  The Sales/Service Engineer works in a pre-sales and post support role and is the primary contact for all sales staff for pre-sales product support and post sales field service support. 


  • Focus on strategic opportunities for sales support of Xplore products with new customers. 

  • Collaborate with and guide sales team members on product solutions, customer specific milestones, and resolving customer buying objections.

  • Proactively insure that sales solutions are consistent technically and with respect to process, goals, resource allocations, etc.

  • Team with sales to position Xplore solutions into the sales planning process based on particular customer requirements.

  • Assist the sales team in the completion of Request for Information / Proposal (RFI/RFP).

  • Provide education to Xplore customers and/or partners on our emerging technologies through training seminars and/or on site classes.

  • Keep up-to-date on industry standards and emerging technology for mobile and wireless products working with our Engineering, CTO, and Marketing departments.

  • Proactively work post sales issues with customers and engineering to customer satisfaction.



  • Minimum 5 years sales engineering experience selling into the rugged mobile market space

  • Experience and demonstrated support success in complex sales cycles

  • Microsoft certifications and training in support of XP, Win7 and Win8.

  • Network training and certifications in support of Microsoft based applications

  • CompTIA A+ hardware and software certification

  • Ability to understand existing and evolving technologies in the mobile computing hardware and wireless (WAN, and LAN) networking industries

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and effectively utilize resources to provide the customer with the best possible solution to meet their business needs

  • Excellent writing skills for supporting sales in responding to RFI / RFPs and for business communications with customers

  • Positive attitude and demonstrated professional integrity

  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills

  • Demonstrated success meeting and exceeding objectives in a hardware sales and service  support role

  • Work as a team player with pre- sales support to all sales staff and post-sales support with engineering staff and operations

  • Android experience

  • Fluent in multiple languages preferred

  • Minimum 5 years project management experience

Social Media (and more!) Marketing Internship

Xplore Technologies is seeking an intern to assist with social media and general marketing duties. We are an established tech company located in North Austin, and our current rapid growth and newly released products means we need someone who is ready to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment to help us grow our social media and online presence. This internship is paid, and full-time interns are preferred, though we will accept part-time.

Marketing Interns will assist with managing and monitoring social media accounts and help establish and engage with Xplore’s online community. In addition, interns will be expected to assist with content creation for our blog, website, and online campaigns. This means it is CRITICAL for interns to quickly learn our products, market, and marketing software to effectively contribute.

Secondary duties will include:

  • Assisting with tradeshows and event planning

  • Working with our Public Relations team to maximize coverage

  • Assisting with product launches, vertical campaigns, lead generation, and other projects

  • Assist with other online marketing efforts, including site management (non-technical), email marketing, web/social analytics, and SEO 

Interns will be mentored by the marketing team, including the VP of marketing. However, interns are also expected to take initiative and contribute their own ideas and inputs at weekly marketing meetings. We will provide guidance in the internship, but we want you to take charge of your own projects! Knowledge & Skills 

  • Candidate should have a general knowledge of marketing

  • Candidate should be a skilled writer, with a clear style and ability to create interesting content quickly

  • Candidate should be familiar with social media best practices for businesses, and should be highly knowledgeable about how to use social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, YouTube, and more.

  • Being a tablet manufacturer, candidates with tech backgrounds (preferably hardware) are preferred, as it will be easier to learn our product that way

  • Candidate should be capable of initiating and maintaining strong personal relationships, and should be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

  • A high degree of organization and self-motivation is required—candidate will be able to follow directions well, but take initiative on projects when necessary

  • Interns must stay aware of the upcoming company opportunities and assist with event coordination when necessary.


Other Preferred (but not required) Candidate Skills/Traits 

These are not required; we will consider any candidate that can perform the duties listed above.

  • Marketing Student, Recent graduate or responsible graduating Senior

  • Marketing or related degree

  • Technical aptitude and familiarity with computer hardware

  • Experience with web design, HTML, CSS

  • Familiar with Salesforce, Hubspot, and/or other marketing/sales software

  • Experience with graphic design and design software (i.e. Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
