US & European Sales Director Positions

Description:

  • The Sales Director is responsible for the sales of  Xplore rugged tablets, docking  and vehicle mounting solutions direct to end-user customers as well as through channel partners
  • The Sales Director will be accountable for managing forecasts, win/loss reviews and strategic planning for their assigned territory (Which may be a specific territory, vertical or mix of the two)
  • Will manage and support channel partners selling Xplore products and services in the US market.
  • The Sales Director will also be responsible for working with Marketing to establish collaborative lead generation programs with Partners for specific verticals and/or territories
  • Will create and conduct effective proposal presentations and RFP responses that address customer needs and positions Xplore as the Tablet of Choice
  • Responsible for sourcing and developing client relationships and referrals.
  • Responsible for lead development in territory (In addition to corporate lead generation programs)
  • Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned territory, within Salesforce.com to maximize territory potential.

 

Experience  & Qualifications:

  • Experience selling direct and through channel partners, i.e., System Integrators, OEMs, etc.
  • Previous experience in the selling of rugged personal computers in a mobile wireless market to partners and subcontractors.
  • 5 plus years' sales experience exceeding quota/budget in the US market.
  • Consistent track record finishing in the top 10% in sales.
  • Thorough understanding of solution and value-based selling methods.
  • Excellent knowledge of the subcontractors market for rugged personal computers.
  • Proven experience in new name account acquisitions.
  • Experience in selling and supporting multiple seven figure projects.

Marketing Internships

Xplore is always looking for Marketing Interns to add to our team. 

Marketing Interns will assist with online marketing efforts, social/community outreach, development of marketing materials and the website, content writing, research and analysis, channel partner programs, tradeshow coordination, and project management.

In return, interns will gain valuable experience in business-to-business marketing within the booming Austin technology sector. Interns will also receive mentoring directly from the VP of marketing, and there is potential for long-term employment for the right candidate. This internship will challenge you—interns must deliver superior results by set deadlines. If you are ready to perform real work and jump-start your career, this internship is for you.

Duties Include:

  • Learning our products and offerings quickly in order to be able to effectively contribute ideas and creative content.
  • Assist in writing/editing/designing marketing materials
  • Assist in developing campaigns for product launches, targeting industry sectors, lead generation, and more
  • Assist with online marketing efforts, including social media outreach, website management (non-coding), email marketing, SEO, and blogging

Knowledge & Skills

Candidate should have general marketing experience and an ability to quickly learn the industry we work in, as well as the marketing software/tools we use. He/She should be familiar with standard marketing practices, as well as online marketing practices for social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc), email marketing, and website optimization. A high level of web savvy is required. Excellent writing skills are a must--candidate will assist with writing efforts for collateral/website/sales presentations. In addition, candidate should be capable of initiating and maintaining strong personal relationships, and should be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. He/she should be able to coordinate with all the departments involved to ensure the completion of the associated marketing programs. A high degree of organization and self-motivation is required—candidate will be able to follow directions well, but take initiative on projects when necessary. This person must quickly learn the product and the market. He/She must also stay aware of the upcoming company opportunities and assist with event coordination when necessary.

Other Preferred (but not required) Candidate Skills/Traits

  • Marketing Student, Recent graduate or responsible graduating Senior
  • Marketing or related degree
  • Technical aptitude and familiarity with computer hardware

Sr. Supply Chain & Procurement Manager

Xplore desires an energetic Senior Supply Chain and Inventory Manager that is fully capable of performing in a strategic and tactical role in addressing supply needs for Xplore and that of its suppliers and partners. Must demonstrate a sense of urgency in handling internal and external customer issues and maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Must be responsive, detail oriented, organized and persistent to drive closure on actions and stay ahead of daily, weekly and monthly actions. The ideal candidate should also develop an in-depth knowledge of our product line. A working knowledge in PC based hardware and Microsoft office tools such as Excel and Word as well as computer system skills are essential.

 

The Senior Supply Chain Purchasing Manager will work in a dynamic, team-based environment to insure our products are designed, manufactured and supported in a way that builds credibility and creates value with our customers.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Supply Chain Process – From Customer P.O. to final product delivery to Customers
  • Ensures on-time delivery – And on-spec delivery of orders to customers.
  • Planning in conjunction to budget – Prepares and monitors operational budgets and forecasts. Plans effective strategies for the financial well being of the company. Utilizes financial data to improve cost efficiencies and profitability.
  • Metrics – Tracks and interprets the performance of key financial indicators in purchasing, inventory management and production, identifying opportunities for improvement and developing global or domestic sourcing and production strategies to anticipate growth and capacity constraints

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experienced with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, Excel and Word

  • Bachelor degree in business management, engineering, manufacturing, or a related discipline; MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in one or more disciplines of supply chain management and operations. Such disciplines to include demand planning, purchasing, materials management, manufacturing, assembly & test, logistics or other related area.
  • At least 5 years of direct managerial experience in leading teams that perform supply chain and/or operational execution functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective coaching and counseling to team members.
  • Demonstrated understanding of effective supply chain management in a electronics manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated success at improving the overall supply chain metrics performance, specifically in increasing inventory turnover, improving product cost and ensure production equilibrium (Load vs. Commit closer to 100%).
  • Demonstrated experience in non-confrontational issue resolution with customers and suppliers (both internal and external).
  • Candidate must be a self-starter, highly-motivated and able to effectively achieve results in a largely autonomous work environment.
  • Ability to influence and successfully lead in a fast-paced, matrix-reporting, multi-cultural environment.
  • Candidate must be fluent in writing, speaking and understanding English.
  • Prior, proven-effective people management skills are required for a direct and matrix organization setup in an international company
