All iX104 products feature over 30 unique RUGGED characteristics to withstand damage in harsh environments such as being dropped, struck, or exposed to constant vibration, dust, water and the most extreme temperatures.

High Density Magnesium Chassis

A custom multi-layer enclosure, compression seals, structural frame, ISO-damp cushioning for LCD and specialized Hard Drive mounting.

Patented Bumper Protection System

Protects the product on all three (X,Y,Z) Axis for a total of 26 different directions (all sides, corners and edges).

Thermal Management System

A combination of conductive heat transfer and forced convection cooling in sealed "finned" transfer bay.

Pin and Pad Docking Connector & Expansion Ports

XPL Expansion Ports - gold coated pogo-pin style docking connector for high throughput providing rugged, sealed connection and expansion capabilities for system growth.

Extreme Temperature Support

-40o to +167o extreme temperature support (storage)

Custom internal algorithms control the iX104 products so they can handle the most extreme temperatures found in the field.

Drops, Bumps, and Knocks

The internal frame, outer chassis, and bumpers work in concert to absorb, deflect and dissipate energy. The iX104 handles drops, while operating, from 4ft directly to concrete.

Vibration & Shock – iX104 products are subjected to and pass Military Standards for Transit Shock, High Vibration and Vehicular Vibration.

Dust and Water

iX104 products are IP65 certified, which means that they are totally protected against all dust low pressure jets of water from all directions!

Safety

iX104 products are Class I Division II certified – which means that it is incapable of causing ignition in environments that are highly combustible.

We ensure that all of these criterion, plus many more, are met to enable a long-lasting solution that lowers the total cost of ownership for our customers and a better experience for our users:
